This piece captures the lasting impact of negative words, carved into wood as deep scars. The phrases represent years of internalized pain, but by carving them, I confronted and released their hold. The empty silhouette invites viewers to step in, showing these words don't define them. Displayed at The Glass Gallery as part of "I Am Going Through an Identity Crisis" in 2023. Originally accompanied by 75 notecards, symbolizing the life and death of these words. The work explores both harm and healing.
